Foothill AIDS Project
Foothill AIDS Project (FAP) delivers supportive services and outreach to over 2,600 people who live with or are at risk for HIV and AIDS in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, and western Riverside County. Our services improve the lives of our clients and their families through comprehensive programs and support.
FAP's staff are dedicated to the reduction of HIV/AIDS stigma in our community, and to the protection of the humanity and privacy of our clients and their families.
With medical treatment and supportive services, people with HIV can leave a long, healthy life. FAP provides these supportive services, including housing, counseling, case management, transportation, nutrition and support. FAP is proud to offer these services to our clients and to improve not just their life expectancy, but their lives’ quality.
FAP’s mission is to improve the lives of those affected by or at risk for HIV/AIDS through comprehensive support services, and to help prevent HIV infection through education and outreach.
FAP was founded in 1987 by a group of concerned residents who were driven to help their friends and loved ones stricken by HIV/AIDS who were unable to work full-time and had nowhere else to turn. In a group member’s living room, this band of Good Samaritans pooled their own resources to help with buying groceries, rides to the doctor, paying utility bills, and feeding pets. As HIV changed, so dod FAP's services. Today FAP proudly offers services in nearly 28,000 square miles across southern California.
