Press Release:

City Council Declares December Shop Claremont Month

Claremont, CA – On Tuesday, November 26 at the Claremont City Council meeting, Chamber of Commerce CEO, Maureen Aldridge, extended a proposition to Council asking them to declare December Shop Claremont Month. In the presentation Aldridge gave different examples of where to shop in Claremont if you are looking for groceries, desserts, unique gifts, a place to relax or where to go shopping. Claremont is filled with various shops that will fulfill all your Holiday needs.

After the presentation the City Council agreed to make December Shop Claremont Month. However, the Mayor does want to express that everyone should not only shop Claremont in December, but shop Claremont all the time.

Now the Chamber Action Plan will be to continue to promote their Shop Local, Shop Claremont campaign. So far the Chamber has distributed a large Holiday Coupon Card with over 20 coupons to Claremont Businesses and the More the Merrier Campaign. The More the Merrier campaign will allow anyone that spends $100 in Claremont to enter a raffle to win Claremont Gift Cards or the grand prize, an Apple iPad. The more receipts you bring in, the more chances you’ll win.

This campaign will run until Friday, December 20. All participants must bring their receipts to either the Claremont Chamber of Commerce, 205 Yale Ave. or the Bath Workshop, 175 N. Indian Hill Blvd. The drawing will be held on Monday, December 23 at noon in the Chamber office where the Mayor will select the winners. Coupon cards and More the Merrier flyers are available at the Chamber office and City Hall.

For more information contact the Claremont Chamber of Commerce at (909) 624-1681 or visit www.shopclaremont.biz
